Before we dive into killer robots, let’s turn back the clock to an innocent time long forgotten: 2019.

Remember that year? Pepperidge Farms remembers, as do the governments in France, the Czech Republic, Haiti, Colombia, China, Russia, the UK, Bolivia, Iraq, Ecuador, Egypt, and many others. They remember 2019 because that year saw a significant amount of protests take place.

In each case, the people were expressing their disdain for leadership albeit being triggered by various reasons. For example, the “yellow vest” movement, where French citizens marched in droves down Paris streets in the name of the working class. The tense situation in Hong Kong also struck a nerve, as Chinese leaders met resistance trying to exercise their dominance and extradite residents.

And then something magical happened in 2020 that made us forget all about dissension. Or, at minimum, that was the elites’ desired outcome for the ‘rones.
