…and Medium ain’t one. Well, ok…there are two…wait…now three
Much love to my fellow ninety-nine percenters!
And no hate for the one-percenters; we’re all humans.
Nevertheless, allow me to celebrate this, my 99th story on Medium!
I want to reflect on my 14-month stint in the Partner Program by divulging both my winning and losing stories. Please feel free to read, engage, critique, and/or share them. It’s all very much appreciated.
Two times I succumbed to the temptation of publishing a meta-story (make this the third now, I guess), taking my turn on the Medium soapbox, and voicing my opinion of the site as a writer and a reader.
The first time I let Medium get to me was when I became fed up with my feed being flooded with stories from charlatans and braggarts about how much they earn writing on this platform. Their self-proclaimed “off” months were dwarfing my most lucrative ones, and their regurgitated advice of writing about writing, hustle-culture, and crypto got old real quick, so I published this rant, and it’s my overall best performing piece to date, published in Unpopular Opinions (much love, Melanie J.):
