This is my favorite piece to date from you, kid. I am still hopeful--a fleeting hope--that a new wave of genuinely inspiring music is on the horizon.

My ex-mother-in-law was a huge classic rock fan, saw all the greats--Hendrix, Zep, The Who, Joplin, Floyd--and her favorite was Clapton; she thought nothing would ever come to close to that era. Then, in the '90s she was seduced by grunge, and Alice In Chains usurped Clapton for her crown, so I have hope that something will come and sweep me off my feet like that.
